"Cheap, clean. Quiet. Cant complain "

"Everything was excellent from start to finish. Our suite was really nice with a lovely comfortable bed and brilliant shower room. On entering the room we found it quite cold but once I turned on the air conditioning/heating it was cosy. All the staff were friendly and polite but their staffing levels were low. One thing which did spoil our stay was that the whole of the hotel was really cold, wherever you were. I didn't see any radiators apart from one small one in the corridor to the lift and that wasn't turned on either. The grounds and obviously the golf course were in excellent condition and there's a nice pathway in which you can walk around the perimeter of the golf course too. All the food was well cooked. As I travelled from the north west of England I found the prices of food and drinks were higher than expected but not excessively so, apart from the Guinness which was well overpriced. We didn't visit the spa on this occasion so no comments on that. All in all a very nice relaxing break."

"The first room smelled as if someone had smoked. I asked for a room change and I was immediately accommodate. The staff was professional. The room where I stayed was clean. As you enter the property there was a smell of toilet, which not the best welcoming sign. "

"First day not so good, today the breakfast was fine. Car parking easy and near to the hotel. We did think that it was not very well lit. "

"Easy to find and fantastic big car park at the back of the hotel which was included in the price of our stay. Lovely warm room, comfortable bed and great shower. There was a good breakfast selection but staff didn’t interact with customers and didn’t clear our table once during our 2 day stay. I hate dirty pots around me!! Also no conversation with restaurant staff about alternatives for breakfast as only had fried eggs on offer at self selection. I asked for poached eggs and it took them over 20 mins to bring them to me. I asked twice how long they would be and was told there is a bit of a delay with my order as quite a few people had ordered them. Not sure why as it only takes a couple of mins to cook these!! Also hot food options were empty and had to keep asking for things which was a bit annoying. Overall our stay was okay and I would stay again. "
