"This is a really quaint hotel, the rooms are lovely and the staff are friendly, I have stayed twice in the last couple of months when travelling for work. The pub is lovely too serving a vast range of beverages. I would suggest to the property (I haven't asked so not sure if it is an oversight but was the same on both occasions) only 1 towel (although lovely towels) per person and no hand towel, also, a shower mat for inside the shower and a towel for the floor as it is extremely slippery both...

"The staff were really friendly and helpful. Quaint building with good sized beer garden for our dog. Our room was small but comfortable and fortunately there was a good breeze through the open window but imagine it could be very warm in hot weather. Did notice when the mattress moved on the bed there was a lot of dust in the support bars underneath. Main problem for us was the limited menu option as a lot of food was coated in breadcrumbs and no fresh or healthy options and my scampi even had the peas missing and my husband didn't get the peppercorn sauce or crispy onions but the staff were also short staffed so we didn't want to complain. Breakfast eggs cooked to perfection"

"The room itself was spacious and clean. The pub was great loads of drink selection and the staff were all friendly and super helpful. Our only negative was weather related. The fan in the room didn't help with the heat at all. We had to keep the window open to try and cool the room. On the Saturday it was fine, however on the Friday the noise went on until around 1am from the pub garden. If it wasn't so abnormally hot we could have closed the window and there would have been no bother. We would definitely stay again but in cooler months where we can guarantee the room will be cooler. Definitely worth a visit."

"We stayed up on the first floor. Lovely old building with creaky stairs. Rooms were well equipped and comfortable. Bit of an issue with the water pipes which were very noisy (sounded like air in pipes). Had fans in rooms which were needed. Great choices for a cooked breakfast, which was cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again."

"The room was clean as was the bathroom, the hotel is in a very old building so exceptions have to be made when it comes to some things, such as the stairs are steep and there are 3 flights, although the top flight is not too big. However it is worth saying as I know of at least two people who would not manage them. Our room was at the top of the building with coomb ceilings which hold the heat, it was extremely warm even with a fan on constantly. The bathroom, although clean with no mould was functional but basic. The food was excellent as was the selection for breakfast. Our stay in this hotel was made by the fabulous staff who go out of their way to help with anything you need with a friendly smile and good humour. Would definitely recommend it."

"This older home was well maintained and comfy. It was close to the centre of Banbury and down the hill to Banbury Cross and the statue of the lady on the horse. Breakfast is included and there is a wide range of cold or hot meal options; there is a kettle in the room with tea bag’s and coffee packs with sugar and UHT milk made it easy to have a hot drink in your room early morning or in the evening. For being on a busy road it was very quiet. Michelle is welcoming, but leaves you to get on with your stay. I would stay there again."
