"Charming little house, and I felt thoroughly spoiled by the upgrade to a suite! Just wonderful. The reception clerk even kindly offered to post my postcards since I had to catch a train. Very kind staff, the three I met. I wish the windows opened more, but I understand."

"Very nice location. Stayed for 2 nights with a friend. Street is quite noisy. If you are on that side of the hotel, do not leave the windows open at night! Windows + coverings did manage to drown most of it out. Loved the Lighthouse Pub just down the street - especially on Tuesday for buy one/get one tapas."

"The hotel was welcoming, simply furnished but clean and comfortable. The only issue was the fridge which did not seem to be working, but I would definitely stay there again. Suggest including more tea/coffee sachets in the room, plus biscuits. "

"Wonderful, laid back, clean, on-the-water pub with very charming rooms & great breakfast that was included in the room rate. Great dining menu, outdoor terrace always busy. Overall a very friendly & accommodating staff. Walkable to City Centre, Christ Church, Ashmolean, Botanical Gardens, groceries, train station, you name it! Loved it! Special thanks to Emms & the gentleman managing the guests on the outdoor terrace. "
