"Its a lovely hotel. Great location. Our room 31 was a little noisy as it had a connecting door with the room next to it and we could hear the other occupants. Food was very good and a wide choice same for breakfast menu. There was only one person on reception and the bar both in the evening and morning so service was a bit slow. Very friendly staff."

"Edwina was a welcoming host! Nothing was too much trouble! Made sure we always had what we need! Accommodating our American car! Fabulous fresh cooked breakfast! Room was lovely which was cleaned daily. The best shower pressure! Tea coffee, water and juice in the room. Great location, walking distance to Esher town centre and the Racetrack! "The hotel is very close to RHS Wisley, which is why we booked it. The staff (Nicholas, in particular) and others were very welcoming and helpful. The inn is historically interesting and the room we had was a four poster and very large. Everything was clean and tidy. There was a kettle, an electric fan and a heater, TV. However, ameneties other than a shower/body wash were lacking. No shower cap or sachets of moisturiser/hand soap provided. The bed was large and OK for one night. We had a meal there. The portions were generous, the dining area was very light and pleasant. The breakfast was good with cooked options, as well as pastries and bread and juices. This is not a large chain hotel with everything available to you. It is a uniquely old and charming hotel with capable and friendly staff at front of house, the restaurant and bar. If you need somewehere very close to Wisley RHS that won't break the bank and has a bit of " Je ne sai quois " about it, then this fits the bill very well."

"We had a short buy sweet stay. The staff were friendly, the room was spotless and breakfast was yummy. Plenty of parking too. Only two things to note 1. We could hear the next door room, and movement (footsteps) from the room above us 2. We booked the 'Executive Room, 1 King Bed'. The bed was two mattresses with one mattress cover - not the most comfortable for a couple."
