Excellent location with a beautiful view from the property. Stayed very cool inside during a heatwave (but could be cold if not so hot outside!).
The apartment itself has a good space and a full kitchen. However, there is quite a lot of clutter and lots of unnecessary electronic devices (such as multiple sky boxes, Alexas, wifis, entertainment systems etc). The apartment was clean enough but generally could do with a bit of updating and a clear out of the cupboards, under the bed etc.

This was our second stay at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere having previously stayed in February. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The onsite parking is great.
Our room was a decent size and was very clean with good standard facilities (TV, air-conditioning, complimentary water, hairdryer etc)
The spa facilities are acceptable and the only downside to the hotel is it's lack of swimming pool.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Rothay Manor and we were not disappointed. The whole experience from beginning to end was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and the evening dining was a joy (word of caution - not really suitable for those who expect a large serving of meat and two veg followed by pud as the menu reflects the creative flair of the celebrity chef and is a whole facinating dining experience in itself). Friendly staff do their best to make the visit...

This was a last minute booking for us, as we were menat to be camping in Keswick, but after the recent storms we were told the campsite was flooded and choose to stay at the Regent in Ambleside instead and managed to book the last room availiable. We normally opt for 4 star hotels and despite the Regent being a 3 star we were not disappointed and in fact we thought it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. A lovely guest house. Staff friendly, polite and always helpful. Our room in The Hideaway was clean and modern. The bed was a bit harder than weโd like. We would love to go back and have no hesitation in recommending this guest house.

We stayed one night at the Victorian house as we had planned a last minute visit to the lakes due to particularly good weather forecast for this time of year.
The staff were very welcoming; the room was as described โcosyโ and furnished beautifully. The breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of choice.
We would definitely look to stay again, especially as it was such good value for money and right in the centre of the village.

We've just spent a lovely week at the Queen's Head at Troutbeck, Windermere. Lovely staff. Great food. Just near enough Windermere without being in the hustle and bustle and easy walks right from the door! We hope to return again soon.

We had a 2 night stay in late August. The hotel although busy maintained a quiet environment. The grounds and gardens are gorgeous and difficult to tear oneself away from. Rooms are of a good standard but on our next visit I would ask for one with a lake view. Breakfast is good but the 4 course evening meal was outstanding (and good value for the quality) All the staff we encountered went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. All in all a genuine 5 star experience.
