Great Location - amazing food and service..

Ideal location with easy access from motorway. Well presented resort with nice views from lodge over lake and plenty of things to do on-site. Staff always well presented, polite and very helpful, always seem to enjoy what they are doing. Nice restaurant with plenty of food choices which are reasonably priced. Definitely will be going back.

All in all it was a very nice stay food was excellent room was very good only thing that took the edge of the whole experience was we were told breakfast finished at ten we got down at 9-32 and a snoty waitress said breakfast finished at 9-30 I pointed out it’s only two minutes past surely you can squeeze us in no chance spoilt the whole experience

Lovely stay spotless room . Bed really comfortable great night sleep . Staff very polite and helpful. Stopped in cottages for two nights very clean no problems ideal for walking into Bowness.

This was our second stay at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere having previously stayed in February. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The onsite parking is great. What a great hotel. It is quite isolated, but is a little gem. Built in the 1930s, it retains many of its original art deco features and has been well maintained and sympathetically furnished for the period. After storms, we had a short power cut and I almost expected to hear a scream from a maid discovering a crime and Hercule Poirot appearing. Really great family run place. Room was excellent, breakfast fantastic and can't thank the owner enough for local knowledge and tips for walking and food. Good value considering time of year and location. Look forward to visiting again

We had the most enjoyable 5 days at the hotel, the staff were very accommodating, the breakfast was wonderful as was the evening meal my only preference would be an-alternative evening menu occasionally

Great stay, hotel is immaculate and staff are very friendly. We were offered vouchers to redeem at the bar for drinks instead of maid service which we took. Maid still came in one day which was nice. We arrived on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was a wedding on so lots of kids running around. If you’re looking for a quiet trip book another day and avoid the weekends if you can. Hotel was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly, Only gripe and I suspect this is what it limits it to 4* is a swimming pool and exercise facilities. Breakfasts were excellent, This was off season and hotel was quiet. Views from room of lake were spectacular. Hotel was very dog friendly to the extent of providing dog bed and bowls.

Nice hotel, 5 minutes to the promenade and town. Lovely breakfast, nice big rooms. A bit dated but in a quant way.

We had a great stay and were well looked after by the staff. The room was excellent with a comfortable bed and what can only be described as excellent heating from two wall mounted heaters. Tea/coffee etc and good television. Hot water all the time and I mean HOT. Be careful when you use the hot tap. In some travel lodges you have to wait ages for hot water but not at Killington Lakes. Only downside was a bit of mould in the bathroom. The car park is used by the service station cars so is not...

Nice place, right time of the year. Cabin and hot tub were excellent. The shared pool leaves a little to be desired for young kids. Especially those who may not be confident in the water. I would go back and stay in Lodge 15 Langsdale again. Short trips in the car gave great views of the area and loads to do.
