Relaxing stay

Really nice hotel. The staff were very friendly, professional & helpful. Drinks were a little expensive. We ate in the restaurant one night & our meals were really nice. Overall a really good trip & we would definitely return to this hotel.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was very disappointed after a 7 hour drive (arrived 17:00ish) to find as a resident I could not use the Restaurant as I had not booked and that the bar did not offer evening 'lighter meals'. The first night (Thursday) there was a party in the function room, if only the staff had thought to put us in a room that was not the one over the function. Apart from these niggles which I shared with the manager - the hotel was beautifully located and we enjoyed the peace when weddings were not on. So if booking it is worth checking if functions are taking place...

We had a great visit to Windermere, the Briery Wood hotel was good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and bright set in nice surroundings. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a quaint hotel that is nicely decorated. Unfortunately, despite asking for quiet rooms, we were given rooms in the main hallway where everyone has to pass by to get in and out of the hotel and get to and from breakfast. The hotel staff also use the foyer right across from these rooms to collect all of the used items from rooms they are cleaning so it was extremely noisy, especially in the morning. The staff are completely oblivious to this. Breakfast wasn't memorable and when they're fully booked, it's almost impossible to move around the dining room.
