This is a budget resort. As long as you don’t come here thinking that you are getting the same experience as Barceló or Sirenis or one of those resorts, you’ll be fine. The property is definitely showing its age and the dining options got a little boring after a few nights. There is a bus that takes you to the available beach club and this beach is awesome! For my family, this was the only redeeming quality of this resort. Really, if you lower your expectations and realize that your booking a budget resort, then you’ll have a great time.

Wonderful stay. My only wish just to "manage expectations" is that they don't use the picture of the pool near the ocean as the main picture as it is misleading. Yes, this is a Riu Lupita pool...but it is a 15 minute shuttle ride from the hotel.

Nice and friendly staff at check-in. Very very good, friendly and attentive staff throughout entire property!! Smiles everywhere!!! Very hard working people. We enjoyed every minute there. (A small side note) would definitely prefer Fresh juice, or even water with a piece of tropical fruit rather than artificial beverage at check-in. And newer fresh towels in room would be a bonus!) All round though a Winner for me!!! Gracias por todo!

The property is far away from the beach. The bus ride takes about 14 minutes to get to the beach and is only limited to the daytime. You'll have to walk about 25-30 minutes or pay a cab if you want a night stroll on the beach.
