I was so nervous about picking this resort b/c of some of the negative reviews but it was the best decision. This place exceeded our expectations. We loved all the animals, the buffet was excellent and they had a a different variety each night. We ate at the steak restaurant and that was also very good. The grounds of the resort is stunning!!! The pools, beach, jungle, kids camp, all the activities, etc was all excellent. There was always something to do from bingo, soccer, volleyball, arts&crafts, my kids and i were never bored. The staff was also very nice and always accomodating. The only thing i was missing is there are no dressers in the rooms so you couldnt really completely unpack. Also the rooms do get very steamy which is something that cant really be controlled unless you leave your door and balcony open to air out. Otherwise my family of 5 were comfortable in our room. The shower water was nice a hot when we needed it. Another negative was The drinks were also never strong enough for us. We kept asking for shots but they too seemed water downed(?). But overall you cant take a point away from this 5 star hotel. We had the best best time and they do an excellent job. The location is awesome too. Loved playacar and very easy to get to 5th aveneue. We were there last wk of December and seaweed wasnt an issue. Very minimum. Trust me, you will not regret
