Staff was awesome and friendly. No issues with getting or having abundant water/beer/pop. Room was clean, and of fair size. Food was good, a la cartes were good also. Scramble for beach chairs each morning, go early!

Pros: Good food and nice staff Cons: Not nearly enough sun beds at pool or beach to accommodate the amount of guests. Very limited shade unless you stayed in room or inside a bar. Water pressure in our room was cycling while showering to no water at all for a moment until pressure picked up again. We ended up changing hotel for the last three days.

Super underrated, we booked this trip before looking at the reviews...so we didn't really have an option but just to thug it out and see how it goes. Bam, best trip ever. Food was great, staff beyond nice and soo much to do. Beach was as clear as day and much bluer than the beaches beside our resort.

The room was covered in mold, on the mattress, painting, light shades, curtains, and walls. We complained, and they openly said that all the rooms are like that. I’ve been to several humid all inclusive spots, none of which had mold. The waits for drinks were insane, over 20 minutes at some times. Even with reservations, we still had to wait 20+ minutes to get into our restaurant. The pool was fantastic, very clean. And the activities were well put together, but that was the only good part.

The staff was very hospitable. The public facilities were neglected as well as the rooms. The restrooms near the pool weren't working. The sliding glass door from the balcony was missing a handle to come in. The handle for the shower faucet fell off. They came and fixed it quickly. We had to ask for hand towels a few times because they didn't leave us any after they cleaned the room. They brought them quickly.

Staff was friendly and available. Know your Spanish. Very limited beach chairs, a la carte too much AC couldn’t stay to eat. Allergies beware at Buffet’s (fish/shelfish) food mixed. Partial ocean view guaranteed given full jungle (closer to most amenities no complaints).Never been happier with how available our room was cleaned (early or late) and fridge was stocked every day. If you like big resorts you’ll enjoy + if you have no food allergies

The staff was amazing, our room was lovely, and the resort was very clean! But overall the resort is showing need of repair and neglect. We did hear it was just bought by the Marriot so maybe it will get better. There was no shade around the pool and it was impossible to get shade on the beach. I was happy to see the staff removing towels off the chairs around the pool. Stop saving a chair if you aren’t going to be there all morning people!!! I wish there were table and chairs to hang around and play games by the pool or by the bars. The bar line ups were huge! Not enough bars or bartenders or staff offering drinks around the pool for sure. The food was mediocre and selection was poor, how is it even possible guacamole wasn’t available everyday at the buffet? We are in Mexico! In the end I believe we got what we paid for as we got a great deal… we still had a wonderful week away and enjoyed the sunshine and warmth.

Love the staff! Very very helpful. Food was actually pretty good! Other resorts i have been to were not good, so well done! Very clean rooms. Only thing that bothered me was the cold showers, but thats expected in Mexico. I am a Canadian and am a fussy person 😆 seriously though it was cold but it did not make my experience bad, it was a wonderful holiday. We love Blue Bay Esmeralda! Thank you to all staff!!
