"Rating this hotel three stars as while the staff were friendly and the location was great, unfortunately the hotel itself fell short. The elevator was not available while there was construction going on, and so I had to carry x2 28KG suitcases up a flight of stairs to check in and out. When I got to the room, it had a strong urine smell and so I had to go and buy air freshener to try and get rid of it. There was also an orange stain in the bathtub that wouldn’t go away. Rooms were revamped and had amenities including microwave, fridge, ironing board, hairdryer etc. "

"There was no staff. I checked in on a Maxine and spoke with someone off site probably in India. The machine was broken and would not print so I got no receipt. She said to write down the room info myself but I had no pen/paper and there was none in the small office. The internet did not work for me. The fire alarm was broken with top off and no battery. Carpet was more than grungy. The only saving grace was that the sheets appeared clean and the outside patio was lovely. No coffee in room and not even a single glass for water. No phone in the room. With a little effort this could have been a nice place but it is far from there now."

"Unfortunately the front desk staff could not find my sister in laws reservation under her name, she was. left waiting in the lobby for over an hour with a newborn, so I thought I made an error and booked a second room only to find that they now had two rooms under her name. incompetent staff with no apology for their severe error."

"I wish the staff had made it clear to me on check in that if I wanted my room made up, I would have to ask a day in advance. Housekeeping left fresh towels when I asked but didn't even take away towels on floor, as is standard. Pool is lovely. I wish someone on staff would have spoken with parent of a small child, as the child was in the pool all by herself other than adult hotel guests like me. She may have been between 5 to 7 years old. She told me that her dad said if she was drowning, that I or one of the other guests would save her, and she couldn't swim well, so she wasn't supposed to be in the deep end (as she was swimming in the deep end). Hotel staff were around and did nothing that I saw to speak with the parent and I couldn't find him either. There should be a protocol in place for unaccompanied children in the pool area. This was so unsafe."
