"My stay at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas was a great experience overall, especially for my first time staying in downtown Vegas. The location is unbeatable—everything is close, walkable, and full of energy. That’s really the key to enjoying Fremont Street: you can step outside and be right in the middle of it all. The atmosphere was awesome, and I’ll definitely choose downtown again because of how convenient and lively it is. Restaurants on-site were a big highlight—Oscar’s and Hash House A Go Go were both excellent, and even the pizza spot impressed. The Carousel Bar was an absolute A+ and a must-visit. The only downside was the noise from the room. Ours faced Fremont and Circa, and at times it felt like there was a boom box right outside our window. That said, my son and I got used to it after the first night, and it didn’t bother us much after that. Honestly, the view helped make up for it, so it’s a trade-off depending on what you’re looking for. All in all, a really fun stay in a prime location. If you don’t mind a little noise—or can adapt to it—the Plaza is a great choice for experiencing downtown Vegas the right way."

"Had a good stay at El Cortez. Room was small but no complaints with that since we weren’t in the room a lot. Our only complaint with the room is it took a long time to get warm water for the shower. Other than that, no complaints. Great location for Fremont experiences. Would stay there again."

"Clean and well renovated room "

"We celebrated our friends birthday in Vegas for the weekend 🎉 It was a short weekend but we had a great time. The pool area was clean and fun to hang out we spent the whole day there. Pool hours are from 10-6pm. The service was decent. Great bites for lunch! The room was fine, no refrigerator. They charged an additional fee if you need one. Other than that great trip!!!"

"The room was clean and comfortable. It offered Netflix (with my own membership) on the TV. Hotel property is well maintained. There are places to eat in the casino, but I did not take advantage of them this time. They are of a Hawaiian theme. Staff was all friendly. This hotel is near (but not on) the Fremont Street Experience. So it's nice to be close to that, but not right there, for when you want away from all the people. There is a skywalk from this property to the hotel/casino next door in case you want to stay inside and check out another property. I'd stay there again and would recommend it to others."

"Check-in was at 4 PM. We were told the pool closed at 7 PM, and the website says the same thing, but the pool actually closed at 6 PM — or earlier depending on staff, apparently — so we only had about 2 hours to use it. Which was the sole purpose of picking this hotel. When we got to the pool area, we were told someone had tried to have sex in the slide and broke it. Parts of the tank/setup had been moved around, including the fish. The pool itself was open, but the situation was bizarre. The room itself was worse. Carson Tower room 490 had mold in the shower, a chunk of porcelain coming off the tub, and the tub wouldn’t drain properly. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel. This used to be a great hotel back around 2010. It’s gone downhill badly. Never again. "
