"Hotel itself was pretty good and close to market and restaurants and bars, however the homeless in the area was crazy. Walking back to the hotel late at night I didn’t really feel all that safe."

"Rooms are a bit dated. Bathtub shower and old carpets. But comfortable bed and large rooms."

"The Hotel was fabulous but the outside was very sketchy alot of homeless people hanging around. Our stay was Wonderful the people were very accommodating. Breakfast was great. The Rooms were very old looking but very very comfortable very very Quiet .Defentatly will stay there again."

"I liked the hotel. The staff was very helpful especially during the transportation process from the hotel to the port for our cruise. They worked very hard getting everyone and their luggage boarded on the bus. The breakfast we had was very good. However we had dinner in Oliver's and we felt their menu was very limited."

"Lots of homeless about outside but it is downtown. A bit noisy outside but great location for Pike Place and harbour etc. Hotel is on the old side and room was basic. No AC, wouldnt like to stay there in middle of summer but decent value for money"

"Living just a couple blocks away from the state hotel. I was always interested about it. Well, this time I didn't indulge. I have previously dined at Ben Paris which is superb. In terms of the hotel. It's very cute, quaint, and the details of both the room and the common areas are well thought out. "

"Property was well maintained for age of building and surrounding area. Walking to restaurants was easy. Parking was the only issue. No ability to pay for parking in garage 2 blocks away left us guessing if we owe anything? "
