We stayed 3 days with the Virgina Inn, originally our check in time was 4 pm however when we arrived at 4:15 pm, the young guy at the front desk notified us that the room was delayed due to the cleaning being behind. The frustrating part was that he was not able to give us a timeframe for the rooms being finished. We were understandable and gave them 45 minutes while we went outside in their nice patio and used the restrooms in the back and went out to eat to a nearby Gyro spot (so good) However we did not end checking in until 7:15 (3 hours after original check in time). By this time we were justifiably upset at this situation and unfortunately we’re quite insistent that the front desk check in on the situation. The day we arrived was the hottest and the AC is not the best so it should be noted that during the summer they have fans set up all day in the room. I did not mind as it brought relief from the heat that rose up to the top floors. Otherwise the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was what we needed for the trip. We understood that these things happen but we wish there was more communication on the expectation so then we could have spent more time out rather waiting to check in.
