Good location, secure safe property, average room. But facilities are very limited. No plug sockets in the entire room unless you unplug the hotel phone and hairdryer then you have these 2 only. Air con unit or heating did not work and the electric heater they provided also did not turn on. Otherwise a average stay.

After having heard the really bad reviews on this hotel we expected the worst, however apart from the carpets in the corridors leading to the rooms needing hoovering we were pleasantly surprised of the overall experience. The staff were very friendly and made sure that our two booked rooms were near each other; one room had sea view and the other the back of the hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. Yes it does need a lick of paint but for the price you pay it is worth it! If you only need a room just to sleep then you can enjoy the location of the hotel right in front of the North Pier and within walking distance of the shopping area bars restaurants The Tower and Winter Gardens. So yes I would stay again as I know what I am expecting and for less than half the price of other nearby hotels.

This hotel did have a large room for the price which was good but the bathroom was dirty I liked that me and my partner didn’t get disturbed as if you wanted the room cleaning you only had to ask at reception and they would do it the day after which was good I would stay again but I would ask for a front view as we had a room on the side

The staff were excellent and rooms clean. However as someone with a disability both lifts went out of order so long flight of stairs meant problems. Plug in heater in the room fused into the socket. Could have started a major fire. Will definitely return but only when the refurb complete. Price was excellent value for money

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Let us check in early as our room was ready on arrival which was great . It’s a good location. Could of been cleaner as in windows and and parts not been dusted. I suppose this reflex’s on the price though. Bathroom was clean and sheets were fresh. Tv worked well. Beds were very comfy. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again

Online pictures Bad Representation of hotel
The room itself was clean enough and didnt have the awful smell that the rest of the building had !!! The entrance area smell is horrendous and needs urgent attention!! The man behind the desk seemed friendly enough but overall the photos on the website DO NOT represent the actual building. And the building was freezing with missing ceiling tiles! Cheap hotel at £45 for the night but would not recommend this hotel for anyone wanting something even half decent. Wish i could add a photo of how bad the smell was in the main areas.

Poor Hotel, poorly renovated.
Poor from start to finish. Room was small and very basic, not anything like the images they have on their website. Bathroom had black mould all around the bottom of the shower. The waterproof membrane in the bathroom was lifting and peeling. Bed was uncomfoatable, with only 2 very flat and cheap pillows, and then we were woken by other guests screaming and creating in the hallway way after midnight. Would not recommend.

Tired & dirty hotel but with wonderful staff
So this hotel used to be a Travelodge so a lot of the original fixtures and fittings are still in place - the red bathroom tiles, the blue carpet. Typical Travelodge Facelift rooms, but boy have they been badly maintained since. Moved room 3 times - first had blood all over the mattress protector, so thick that I could see it through the bedsheets. Second had sewer gas coming up through the shower drain, third had the noisiest air con/heater in the world but Reception gave me a (brand new, wrapped) electric heater which worked just fine. Saving grace here is the staff, they’re honestly really helpful and must get so fed up of dealing with maintenance and cleaning issues, so to remain cheerful and offer solutions makes them a real credit. If only the owners/management invested the profits back into the fabric of the building this could be a great hotel in a perfect location.

Looks nothing like it’s advertised. Front doors grubby, windows grubby in room and canteen, no full English breakfast, communal area on floor three sticky and mould in the bathroom, only 2 plug sockets and that was loose and far from bedroom. very disappointed. I must say Staff were very friendly

Mixed views on this hotel even for Blackpool
Very surprised this is a Best Western Hotel I would have expected better. Last minute booking and to be honest the only available reasonably priced room. Paid 70.00 for new years eve so in that respect good value. However you do expect a reasonable standard from a chain hotel. The outside is very grubby so not a good start. The automatic door got stuck so receptionist had to come and force it open. Bright decor inside and reception area. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. On the other side of the door (our room) very basic no remote for the TV reception could not find one thanks to the receptionist for showing us how to operate from the back of the TV. Heater in the room was effective. Windows need a good clean surely this should be part of general maintenance. You are on the main street so a bit noisy but this did not really bother us. There was what seemed to be a homeless person taking her washing up back to reception did not bother us but is part of this building being used for another purpose? Excellent location for the Winter Gardens and Turtle Bay uses part of the building. It will not take much to get this hotel in good order so come on Best Western you can do better than this!!!

Well situated and clean and comfortable.
Well situated and although the room was very basic, it was clean, warm and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice with a good hot shower although the soap didn’t Spenser was empty so I had to use the one by the washbasin. The TV remote was faulty which I reported but I had a comfortable night and was overall very happy.

Disappointed for a chain hotel
This used to be an ibis and the current owners have done nothing to modernise it in the previous five years since then. The room was clean and comfortable enough. However, the room was cold when I arrived - I had to turn the heating on. I couldn't get the (very small) TV to turn on and when I arrived back at the hotel late at night and tried to type in the code I had been given I could not see the numbers on the keypad as it was dark. The next morning I had a look and saw that the numbers were there and I had actually guessed the correct layout but the code still hadnt let me in. I was instead let in by the night porter. This is not a good system. I have a key card, I should be able to swipe in at the front door. All that said as I got a good late deal, it was good value for money for a central location. But could have been so much better.

Unpleasant odours, but very cheap
The worst part about this hotel are the various smells as you walk around the property. The staircase going up to reception smells strongly of algae, the bedrooms smell like cabbage and drains. The corridors smell like sweat. The room we had was in reasonable condition but the bathroom drain smell seeping out into the room was unbearable. I’ve stayed here several times before and every room I’ve had smells but this one was just the worst. Ended up checking out at 5am and driving home to my own bed as the smell was giving us a headache.

Usually a great place I like to stay at when visiting Blackpool. However, this time the room was freezing. The shower head also needed a good disinfecting, and the room had cracked skirting boards/walls. There were also some red sequins in various places from the previous stay! Could be a bit better.

The location was perfect. Room was lovely, although could do with freshening up . Was disappointed as only continental breakfast, had we have know that wouldn’t have booked breakfast and do like a full English while away. Staff were friendly. The heating system wasn’t working so the hotel was cold, breakfast room was freezing, although we did have a small heater in our room . Overall stay was ok
