"This must be up there as one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Location is second to none. Staff were exemplary- nothing was too much trouble for them and the service was amazing. All very friendly and helpful. An oasis in the best area of Lisbon. I loved the fact that they had nothing plastic. Everything was reusable and environmentally friendly. Can’t recommend enough."

"An excellent hotel to stay if you want to be close to the main attractions in the old Lisbon, located at a walking distance from the Rossio Metro station. Lots of cafés and restaurants nearby, not to mention the one at the hotel serving delicious Portugese cuisine. Breakfast is also super delicious with croissants, toasts, fresh fruit, eggs, yogourt, cold cuts, pancakes...etc. The staff is amazing. A big thank to François, Maurice (Momo), Bruno and Anick who were always ready to help. They also made suggestions for tours and visits. I had the room on the top floor with a private terrace and a wonderful view of the Taje. This room is worth paying a little more if you want to treat yourself. It was my first time in Lisbon and I would definitely stay there when I return."

"This is an exceptional property in Lisbon. We were absolutely delighted with every aspect of our stay. We were greeted by two of the nicest, most professional people you can imagine (Rita and Dylan), who made it clear that our happiness and satisfaction were very important to them. Our visit started with a quick drink of a local cordial and was followed by a tour of the property which included ancient ruins. The hotel itself is built into an old palace but it is completely modern and beautiful. The rooms were spacious with very high ceilings and the bathroom was gorgeous with ample high quality towels, robes, and toiletries. The housekeeping staff is vigilant with at least two visits a day, and anything else you might need. One of the best surprises was the cozy bar and excellent restaurant. The food was so good we decided to return to the hotel for our final dinner and just enjoy the outdoor seating. The location could not be better...we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go without using any transportation until our return to the airport, with the exception of the streetcars which we boarded just for the experience! Lisbon is a wonderful city and we give this hotel our highest recommendation. We will definitely return and will recommend to all of our friends."

Hotel Convento do Salvador

"The property sits in the Alfama district of Lisbon. The oldest and most historic district of the city. It is quaint with stunningly beautiful views of the city. We were told by a staff member the hotel was the first convent founded in the city, hence, the name Convento do Salvador. This hotel is in a very narrow and steep cobblestone street. Some taxis and Uber drivers do not go down to the hotel to pick up passengers and it is necessary to go up to one of the main thoroughfares to get the Uber. If you have difficulties walking and/or climbing, this, perhaps isn’t the place for you. However, we found it quaint with an inner courtyard, comfortable with a mi ima list and modern vibe, clean and with warm, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was wonderful. I would stay there again!"

"Fantastic location for a short or long stay! The room was soooo spacious which was welcomed after visiting other EU cities where the rooms were small. I really enjoyed the easy check in as I fly in at 11PM and got to the hotel around 12:30AM. It was seamless and the room was very clean. The owners were very responsive to my questions before arriving and the rep in the pffice was very kind. I would def stay here again and rec to other solo travelers."
