This property was amazing and in a great location with restaurants nearby. The staff were super friendly and the complimentary breakfast was a great start to the morning.
It is the place v to stay in Lisbon. Easy access to beach restaurants and shopping.the hotel is beautiful and staff is friendly and speak English. Nice spa and outdoor pool too.
Absolutely beautiful property, Friendly and very professional staff! Super comfortable beds and delicious breakfast! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for everything!
Fantastic Stay at Palacio dos Arcos in Aug 24.
Excellent Value and facilities including the indoor and outdoor pool and massage.
Rooms were clean, large and the balcony view of the sea from our 2nd floor room was great.
We took advantage of the Half Board option which provided an excellent dinner in the evening - a special mention for Joao who looked after us exceptionally well.
Proximity to the train station, meant easy access along the coast to Cascais, must be said no noise from the train could be heard from the hotel.
Look forward to returning again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Not a 5* more a 4* sunbeds around pool old and uncomfortable, not the ones on the web site, spa pool towels very old and thin, breakfast very good, what makes this hotel is the staff, they are all young which was a surprise but just friendly and professional, as a solo traveler they all had excellent customer service. especially Erica, Joao and John in restaurant.
Positives : check in was smooth, the indoor pool was very nice and well
Maintained. Room was clean .
Breakfast was average
Negatives : room lacked basic amenities, no hair dryer , makeup remover wipes would be nice touch . It felt very basic even though we were told that our room
Was in upgraded section of hotel .
This hotel is magnificent. I enjoyed every minute. The only complaint I have is re coffee. The lack of a coffee machine at breakfast was disappointing. There are Nespresso machines which you can request for your room. Unfortunately none were available during our stay. But overall everything was brilliant and I’ll be back - requesting my Nespresso machine before arrival 😁
The old palace and its garden are very beautiful. The restaurant is located in this unique building. The menu is exquisite.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
On the downside, it was my birthday during our stay. Nobody in the hotel seemed to care (I have had other experiences). When we checked out I commented on this fact. The reply was, next time they would throw a big party for me. Seriously. Not funny.
Hotel is close to the beach but not the most convenient for getting to Lisbon, but of a walk to get to our room which was in the new building and saw few ants running around.
We stayed for 9 nights.
The first impression was as we expected of a 5 star luxury hotel. The conseirge/luggage carrying guy was fantastic - a really nice welcoming. Couldn't remember his name - it was the same first name as the general manager I think he'd said.
The room was very comfortable, clean and really spacious with a massive bed. We had a view of the pool and the gardens. I like the old part of the building with all its character and private chapel. The new part is kind of bolted on which is novel but kind of works. The new part has maybe a corporate feel? I don't know, couldn't quite pick up on the vibe.
Strangely it seemed pretty quiet in the hotel, not many guests? Perhaps in peak season theres a bit more atmosphere with people using the pool side bar. But having it quiet was quite nice, we felt we had the hotel to ourselves in a way.
Location is good - areas are easily accessible by taxi or train - Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra etc.
Breakfast room - a lot of attentive staff. Plenty of fresh and good quality breakfast options to keep you going. It would have been nice to have had an initial greeting and introduction - timings, what you can drinks you can ask for etc. You can order a 'pack up' if you're out and about and miss breakfast.
I have a couple of negatives. We needed an information booklet in the room.. Is it that we're expected to find everything on our phones nowadays?
Also..drinking water providers would have been handy - dotted around the hotel.
I have been staying here for many years whenever I’m in this area of Portugal and it never disappoints. Beautiful setting and very nice service. Absolutely love the breakfast and the views. Highly recommended.
