it was a good experience, no noise no nothing!

The hotel is very clean, too bad the pool is still closed. The staff very nice, the housekeeper always cleaned it super clean. I could smell the bleach smell in the tub, so pretty sure the tub is very clean.

Very friendly , even when my kids locked me out of the room. They promptly let me back in.

The Thunderbird appears to be a family run business. They are conscientious about keeping the rooms clean & modern. Our room had lots of floor space. There was a refrigerator and microwave. They had complimentary coffee & muffins for breakfast. These would be good enough to hold you over until you could get a proper breakfast. Several places were nearby. The motel is close to several interesting ethnic shops and a large grocery store. You can also walk to the seaside for a walk on a paved trail.

The room was huge... way bigger than we expected. A few small problems but it seems just like normal wear an tear. Overall very pleased.

This was the cheapest hotel I could find and it didn't even seem like it. It was simple and had everything we needed. The people were very nice and helpful. I would definitely go again!

Friendly staff, great location, comfy beds, big tv's and lots of channel choices. Downsides are you can hear just about everything going on in rooms around you, noisy hallways, stale cigarette smell everywhere. For the price you pay you cant beat it

Last minute trip to Santa Cruz and went to Expedia and found this. Afforadble, great hotel staff. They actually have smoking rooms which was a plus. Def will be back next time I go to Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk.

The basic service of the hotel was good. Easy check in, room was ready. I didn't mind the slightly worn conditions of an older and cheaper hotel. If they would properly clean the rooms the stay would of been much better. I don't think the owners look at the rooms from a customers point of view. They probably go in the rooms and see it as good enough. My issues were slightly dirty floors, extra screws in the walls, phone missing buttons, no iron or ironing boad, broken heater screen (heater worked great though) and small, thin towels. The hotel was ok for a 1 night business stay.
