I have saved up my Expedia points for years, to go somewhere special, and I’m just so upset I used them on this hotel.
This hotel looks great on paper and even has a cozy feeling walking in, however the short stay would prove different. We booked this hotel for a few reasons and the hotel looked like it would be a great spot to stop for the night on our road trip and a big plus was the restaurant being open. Upon arrival we were told the restaurant closed early for the night. We were told everything around was also closed but we could try to door dash something to our room and good luck. Once arriving in the room we found a dirty bathroom, hair all over. A dirty bathroom sink and a dirty bed comforter. Not to mention how uncozy the room was. The following morning we went down for breakfast as we booked with our Expedia VIB program which offers free breakfast and was told by the front desk gentleman that breakfast was not being offered either, even though the night before we were assured there would be a lovely breakfast buffet. He did go back to talk to the chef and came to offer us some fruit, but that is not the VIB experience we chose this hotel for. The Sauna was out of order and the steam room/showers looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days, with black hair all over. We spoke to the front desk about our complaint, but when calling for reimbursement of my points, no record of my complaint was filed and reimbursement was denied. Horrible experience.
