"Brand new ultra modern hotel with European flair. Unfortunately the austere gray interiors left us feeling cold. A little color would have brightened ththis snowy Toronto day. Staff were very pleasant and very plentiful, almost too much so. Four uniformed gentlemen in the tiny lobby, all smiling and greeting was a bit over the top. In the room we found top quality linens on the bed and bathroom. Our room had 2 Queens. We really missed having a bedside stand on both sides. Path of travel past the first bed was really tight, only about 50 cm A dimmer switch or night light would be appreciated as the only light over the commode is extremely bright. Very shocking if you happen to need to use it at night On the plus side, the included breakfast buffet was elegant and plentiful offering a huge selection of fresh and delicious options which even included oat, soy and heated milk. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Riu Plaza "

"Hotel was having an issue with the computer system. Had no idea what rooms were available leading to An hour and a half to try and check in. Front desk was giving gusrs heaters for rooms because they didnt know if the room had heat or not. "
