"When I called the hotel to ask if there was a security deposit of incidental cost they told me no, that a card to put on file was only needed. When we arrived at this location, then it's an entirely different story. The reason that this really troubles me is that being a black man with dreads in a bun, it makes me wonder if things like this are profile related? What else would make sense? I had a credit card and paid for the room in advance. Additionally this limited the amount of money we had allocated to spend for our youngest's birthday trip. Veey troubling. The policy should be the same across the board. Floor in the bathroom was worn, uneven, and some portions not attached (Room 2306) so be careful. The room was generally good as most Holiday Inn Express and Suites that we have encountered. Breakfast was better than most. "

"It was okay/good, but exactly what we paid for or maybe better. I was a little worried with how low the price was, but it ended up being very clean with comfy beds, pleasant atmosphere with onsite food options and activities. Not sure what consitutes the different levels of stars but I've stayed in worse 4 star hotels. "
