This was my first time staying at GLK Hotel in Istanbul, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Salah at the front desk, who went out of his way to make us feel welcomed on our first arrival.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, situated in a quieter part of Istanbul’s Old City. The Blue Mosque is within walking distance, along with many of the other key tourist attractions, making it very convenient for exploring the city.

Hotel staff were so friendly and really made sure that everything was ok with my visit. They laid on a complimentary transfer from the airport which was really helpful. The room was clean and the shower was excellent.

This hotel is a real find - two minutes walk from the heart of Istanbul's main sites in the old town, easy walking distance of all the bazaars and loads of restaurants and bars. The staff were really helpful, polite and efficient - it is small enough that the service feels genuinely personalised. The decor is good quality, looks recently refitted, and the beds very comfortable.

Three minutes walk from the Blue mosque in a quite street. We enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff amazing views from the roof restaurant.
Not the classiest place in town but if you’re on a budget this is a great choice.

Hotel comes with helpful app with walking tour recommendations. 5 mins' walk to Blue Mosque and 10 mins' walk to Hagia Sofya. 30min's to Ataturk Airport by taxi. Free storage for day of checkout. I'd gifted myself a quiet weekend visit to the Hagia Sophia, and chose to stay at the Royan Hotel due to its ratings and its proximity to the site.
The hotel made contact before I arrived offering any assistance I needed, and agreed to the request I made.
Its exceptional customer service continued as the reception staff settled me into my room - with a lovely view of the Bosphorus and the Asian side.
I didn't mind getting lost around the floors and buildings that the hotel is spread over,...
