"Overall a pleasant stay - room was clean, beach was ideal for young kids since the report is essentially in a lagoon, staff was very friendly, food was delicious, grounds were beautiful and well maintained. One down side was the fact that you don’t make reservations for the restaurants for dinner - it’s all on first come first serve basis. We would wait up to 2 hours for a table and missed all the nightly entertainment. "

"Great amenities for the whole family, a lot happening all the time and the use of other resorts is a great bonus. The only downside is rooms could’ve been a little more updated (hotel needs to update the rooms (bathroom shower would leak onto the floor and there were some cracks in the floor). Otherwise very pretty and right by the beach if staying at Tulum. "

"The Scene is outstanding. The food is avg and only two beer options. Housekeeping will not respond to your needs right away. I’ll keep this location in my file. However, I want to consider other options due to hype and being let down. "

"The resort appears to be older but my room had signs of being renovated to be modern with an updated bathroom. The resort is clean with staff sweeping, collecting used drink cups, etc. Housekeeping did a great job keeping my room cleaned daily. The staff at the restaurants and pool were friendly. I booked my reservation at the resort using Expedia in order to join friends who were also staying at the resort. At the time of my booking, I was not made aware of the different tier reservations (VIP, etc.). My friends checked in two days before me and had the upgraded VIP booking. When I checked in, I was unaware of the tier bookings and requested to have the same tier booking as my friends so that I can access the VIP pool, restaurants, etc. but was denied the request by the front desk as there was no room available to match my friends booking tiers. This impacted my time spent with friends at the resort considering I could not join them in the areas they were allowed to be in. I would suggest including the tier information at the time of booking to avoid confusion when traveling with large groups who have separate bookings. Additionally, most of the reservation required restaurants were booked for 3 days after my arrival which left me with limited dinner options during my 4 night stay. Overall, the rate that I paid for my stay was comparable to my experience."

"Highly recommend if you're looking for an alternative to mega-resorts. Property size made it easy to navigate, especially if travelling with friends. Food options were all tasty, pool & room service reasonably speedy. Nice rooms. A couple notes for your booking consideration, if you're oceanfront but lower floor, your ocean view may be obstructed by trees. If you use resort credits for the spa, you only have access to the treatment not the facilities-- which was strange. There were lots of weddings, at least one for each day we were there. Also, a fair amount of corporate travellers. On the last day, people were running around in suits and lanyards-- usually the scene I'm trying to leave back home. Lastly, just a tip not an issue, prices in their bottle shop were 4-5x higher than at home prices, so if you want something specific bring it with you."
