The resort was super clean with really friendly staff. The beach was perfect. We loved that it was a smaller resort not as much walking to get places. The Mexican restaurant was amazing. We would definitely go back here again!

Room was big, pool and beach areas are nice. You can use the hotel before and after check-in times - happy for that! Reception didn't even mention our room number when we checked-in but was very helpful when I needed them. To book what's called "special restaurants" you have to stand in line at 10 am to book it. We went to the Italian restaurant and the food was bad as in as in the buffets (lasagna was totally undercooked). Unfortunately the food was not what I expected - very American/industrialized - not at all the quality you have in any Mexican restaurant (breakfast buffet quality was better than lunch/dinner).

The restaurant and bar staff are friendly. The food isn't great. Reservations for the a la carte are almost impossible to get. Refrigerator is the room didn't work when we got there and it took over 2 days to get someone to bring one, so for the service from the front desk was pretty much non existent. I finally put the refrigerator outside and told them I'd carry it to the front desk if they had another one I could take back. That must be what it takes to get one because about 10 minutes later a replacement showed up at our room. The resort itself is nice and the staff are very good, with the exception of trying to get a refrigerator that worked.

I liked the rooms and hammocks. I didnt feel like I was ontop of a bunch of people like a hotel, well spaced out. Loved the beach area, so pretty. Loved the activities and entertainment crew. Much better than other places there in Playa. Didnt like the food so much, specially the late night food options. But we didnt starve so it was fine.

The AC and fridge was not working. The front desk just said there is nothing they would do just switch us to a different room the next day. I asked to speak to the Manager and he was gone for the day. The next day we were Switched to a different door, they don’t seem to care about any of the complains you might have. We will not be returning here.

As with every time I’ve been to a resort in Mexico the thing that makes it special are the people who work there. Didn’t have a negative interaction with a single staff member. Grounds were immaculate. Beautiful with lots of plants and flowers. Certain things didn’t work perfectly but not enough for us to complain. Entertainment was great. Shows every night were impressive. Crew during the day kept people moving. Easy walk into Playa Del Carm
