The room booked was supposed to be a luxury double. It was disgusting and filthy. Booked and paid for two nights. Booked and paid for a second hotel for the second night. Would od changed first night but was too late due to time of arrival. Speaks volumes!!!

Although it appeared to be a decent hotel in a good area if London, we were very disappointed that the hotel allowed us to bookour room even though the whole hotel had been without hotwater for at least 3 days prior to our stay and without plans to recitify the situation. Of course we were unaware that is was the situation until we had checked in. The front desk staff member was hard to catch and when we spoke with him, he wasn't taking any responsibility for the situation. Other guests were also like us, trying to get some compensation but also to no avail. The hotel just told us we would have to take it up with Expedia because we booked through them. When returned to Canada I called Expedia but were not offered any compensation after several attempts to contact them both by phone and a virtual agent. It' disappointing that we paid $250 for a room that we couldnt have a warm shower in. More disappointing was Expedia's lack of concern that we as customer didn't get what we paid for.

Not a very friendly reception arrival, they just didn’t make you feel welcome! No TV remote in room 6. Beds were on wheels & sliding around when sitting on beds.

Room (#5) very cramped. Maid service spotty. No bottle opener available on site. No glasses in bathroom. Clean and good location two blocks from Paddington.

The name of the hotel and the front facia suggested that it was larger than it was and also would have more / some facilities. There was no dining at all even though there clearly had been a breakfast facility and there didn't appear to be any other standard hotel facilities. The toilet flush was temperamental and the sash windows wouldn't close properly and let noise from the street in as a result. In summary it was more of a small b&b type hotel but without the breakfast and was ok for a night if you just want a bed only.

Property on a quiet, quaint street 2 blocks from Paddington station. Hotel was clean & in a safe area. The hotel is old & in need of cosmetic improvements but overall a good place for a quick overnight stay. Restaurants/pubs & shopping all very close.

First of all the reception staff were lovely, so helpful. Some problems with the room. It could have done with a good clean, skirting boards were very dusty. The bed wasn't secured and moved when sitting up against the wall. TV remote control, some buttons did not work, it should be replaced. The worst thing was the noise in the room, it sounded like a ventilation fan, but it wasn't in my room. It was continuous all night and consequently, i couldn't sleep.
