As first time travelers to London we didn't really know the area but this hotel turned out to be great. The facility was wonderful and located in the center of all the sights...there was even a McDonald's close for a little extra coffee. Altho next to the train station our room was completely quiet. Also next to the underground which was also conventent. A few homeless around but to be expected in a city. But NO problems at all. Highly recommend.

Convenient to Trafalgar Square and directly above the tube station at Charring Cross. Easy walk to theaters restaurants, etc. Very quiet on back side of building (not sure about front).

Beautiful old hotel in a great location; close to Charing Cross and Embankment Tube stations, Embankment ferry wharf and the theater district. Our room was great with very well designed bathroom with plenty of space to put our stuff plus a separate shower which was small but good enough. Breakfast was included. Not great but good enough and it beats schlepping around the neighborhood in the morning looking for something to eat. Staff were uniformly great. Very friendly, responsive and helpful. Not cheap but worth it in our view.
