Perhaps it's the area in London, but the room was decidedly smaller than it appeared in the pictures. NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS OR HALLWAYS. THAT was not abundantly obvious in the property description. Upon check-in, we got off the elevator to see old mattresses in the hall, probably being disposed of, but not exactly what you want to see while checking in. The floors squeaked so much that throughout the halls, you could hear an infant walk by. This property is so incredibly outdated that it defies description. The building facade and the lobby are the only highlights of this property. The neighborhood is VERY nice, situated 5 minutes from Russell Square underground tube station, and a 20 minute walk from London's West End. Otherwise, I would NOT recommend this property and will never stay there again. VERY disappointing.

Great quiet location and close walking distance to many places. Clean hotel at a decent price. Had no real interaction with the staff, was never greeted other than the man opening the door. But it was a nice experience in all and I will return.

Great location with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Staff friendly and polite. Breakfast was good but only whole milk which I find strange in this day and age, choices of soya and oat milk but not able to offer semi or skimmed milk.

Just spent a Fri to sun at Tavistock hotel. I would definitely return and recommend. Staff are very attentive and efficient especially Richard the doorman! We booked the breakfast which was lovely. Hotel immaculately clean with the room being cleaned also the following morning after our arrival. Central too. Great service 👏

Hotel well located in a convenient location within easy walking distance to Oxford St, Euston Square & Russell Square Underground & other attractions. The room was extremely small & the bathroom tiny for 2 people. Bed was also very small for 2 adults & the room had no air conditioning, although it had a window that could be opened with a pleasant view of the park across the street. Staff were friendly & helpful. Overall Hotel looked like it needed a bit of an upgrade but was aware that some carpets were being replaced just after our stay. Good Hotel for single traveller, bit tight for 2 with suitcases etc.

The Tavistock Hotel is a convenient 9 minute walk away from King's Cross Station and represents good value for money. The room was a reasonable size, clean and well equipped Bar and dining facilties are comfortable, the quality of the breakfast is generally good snd sll staff pleasant and helpful I eould definitely book there again. The only downside was the continual noise from outside traffic and activity, pretty much throughout the night, but this was obviously outside the control of the hotel itself.

Everything was great, except cooling in the rooms. Please know the rooms are not air-conditioned. There is a fan that may be used, but you have to find it in the closet.
