"Stayed here during April break for a trip with 3 adults and one child. Starting with the positive: the location is great. It was very accessible for the sight seeing we wanted to do in the city. The staff were friendly, helpful and quick with bag holding, check in and check out. The elevator was also very fast. Our room was surprisingly large (2 queen beds) and the beds were firm, but comfortable after a long day of walking. The bedding was fresh and clean. The room was also a good temp. The negatives: there is WEAR on this property. The chairs in the lobby and our room were worn and had stains. The floor was lumpy in our room. The shower curtain had stains on it. There was some paint chipping on the windows. Speaking of the windows: these were not insulated glass to block noise. There was construction all night long: jackhammering, loud banging, grinding literally the entire night long. Only my child was able to sleep and that’s because she’d walked 20,000 steps that day. None of the adults got much sleep. To be fair- this hotel was fairly inexpensive and we were only there for one night. The hotel also can’t control exterior noise. So it was fine: 2 stars and a middle of the road ranking feels fair to me."

"Property is under construction which impacted lobby. Elevator use was terrible … not efficient and not adequate for the great number of guests. We had to use stairs To go down to lobby from 11 th floor twice during a 1 night stay! Although great location I would not return due to the poor crowd management and elevators!"

"I recently had a three-day convention at the Javits Center and chose Arlo, sight unseen and with no other recommendations from anyone I know. The location was terrific! Very short walk to Javits and Times Square/Broadway. While the room was NYC small, it was modern and clean. I was pleasantly surprised that I heard no noise given the proximity to the elevators and other rooms in what seemed to be a full hotel. Additionally, I was super happy to have the excellent coffee shop attached. The coffee and the service was great there, also. I will be back!"
