This property is just off of times square and within walking distance to broadway shows and plenty of restaurants and bars. The staff is diligent in the safety of its guests, but not always aggressively friendly, but I'm also from the Midwest and this is New York, so, no real issues. Their elevator system is a little frustrating, they're tiny, often overcrowded, and you're usually waiting for the same two elevators despite the fact that there are 8 available. But the room itself was nice enough. Fresh beds, working tv, hairdryer, spacious enough, the bathroom could be cleaner though. It's a little dingy in places and the bathtub has scuffs and marks from other guests that could be cleaned fairly easily with a little muscle and baking soda, but the price was good, so I'm not really upset. And the price was great so it's hard to be too upset.
This is a good hotel for a fast trip to New York. It's accessible to all major subway lines, placed right in the heart of the city, and while not necessarily charming, it does have it's stuff together, so you're not worried that someone won't answer your questions.
Only other thing I can add that was a bit frustrating is that check-out was at noon, but around 9:30 am people were knocking on our door asking when we'd be out so they could clean out the room. It's a little rude, granted that nights in New York can go late and you don't know if your guests are still sleeping? But overall, this was a decent experience.
