"Our stay at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka was disappointing and did not match the upscale image shown in its marketing. The room was much smaller than expected based on the listing, and it felt very cramped. Several amenities were poorly designed. The laundry area was essentially the size of a small cupboard, forcing guests to crowd together and wait in line with barely any space to move around. The elevators were also slow and often crowded, making it frustrating to get to and from our room. The beds were extremely hard—easily the most uncomfortable we encountered during our trip—and we woke up with back pain and body aches. The shower was also disappointing. The shower head felt cheap, with poor water dispersion and inconsistent pressure. The temperature controls were extremely sensitive, where even the slightest adjustment could make the water suddenly too hot. Service was also lacking. Staff were not particularly helpful when we needed to exchange money for the laundry machines, and there wasn’t even a coin exchange machine available. On top of that, the hotel charged roughly double what other hotels charged us for luggage transfer services. We stayed at several other hotels during our trip, including three-star properties, and many had better facilities, friendlier service, and better value. Ironically, this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at, yet it offered the least comfortable experience."

"Perfect location and beautiful room. We were walking distance to everything. The breakfast was amazing and worth adding. The staff was great and we loved the gym. The restaurants and bars had gorgeous views. I would stay here again. The only thing I was disappointed with was that the hot tub was a part of the spa and required a purchase of the spa package to utilize so we didn’t get to put our bathing suits to use. But I probably read the site wrong that’s my fault."
