"Our family visited Atami during New Year and literally checked in on New Year Eve! The staff were super welcoming and helpful. We actually went to the wrong hotel building at check in, and they immediately sent a pick-up for us to get to the correct building. The meals included in our hotel package were all buffet, and the food was amazing! There was a very wide variety of choices. You can even enjoy the ocean view during breakfast if the balcony (and shower) in your room is not enough for you...

"Great hot spas (there are 2 inside and also outdoor) and nice Japanese style room, with all the amenities. The staff is super nice and friendly, they even gave us a ride to the station, because taxi service was not available. Well worth the experience!"

"If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The staff are so friendly and accommodating! It is a little out of the way but the hotel provides a free shuttle to and from the train station and a free hourly shuttle to the nearby town which is absolutely fabulous. The grounds are just beautiful and the view from the room is honestly better than any other vantage point we could find. Thank you so so much!"

"We stayed here with our rental car to explore and see Fuji. We could walk to a lot of cool restaurants. Drinks in the hotel bar were nice with the view of the hotel grounds and mountains. "

Sadly not 5-stars because expedia markets this hotel for 2-6 people per room, but when you book a room, it only does so for 2, and on arrival you have to pay to have the other 4 stay as well. "

"One of the best stays I've had. From the instant we walked down the drive the team were there to welcome us in, get us checked in and seen to our room. The room itself was nicely laid out and seemed very traditional in set up, I enjoyed the fact the place was many years old traditional house and it was very peaceful both in stay and rest. "Hotel is very close to the ropeway and offers a shuttle bus to the main station which you really do need. Bedding arrangement is hard as a rock so be aware of that.
