Such a great stay!

A great hotel with a real sense of warmth and tranquility, fantastic staff and clean well made rooms. It sits at the top of the Ounasvaara hill, so prepare for it, but we loved it. The views over the forest, with the town beyond, are lovely. It's a lovely walk along the forest path down to Rovaniemi (about 2km), we stayed in October and there was no snow. Be prepared for the climb back up, or hop in a taxi for a short ride. The restaurant is a real highlight: local flavours, beautifully served...

Buffet breakfast and dinner were both excellent. Staff were very helpful. Things to improve : - make spa pool water few degrees warmer - better pillows please and less polyester/more natural fibers for bed linen would be great

Close to the small but modern Ivalo airport. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and bus station from where you can take a bus to Saariselka ski resort, which cost about 10 euros. The hotel is situated by a fabulous river and nature. You can book some amazing excursions from the hotel's ClubNord department. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

I am really impressed with this hotel. It is only 10-15 minutes walk away from the train station. I was able to check in early due to my train journey from Helsinki arriving at 09.45. So I did not have to wait around until 14.00. I would stay here again.
