The hotel itself was lovely. Room, after being moved, was beautiful. Clean, well equipped, nice view & huge! Downside was the bed, it had a huge dip in the middle & we spent most of the night trying to “climb” back out of it, consequently we had hardly any sleep 😫. When we informed the reception staff the next morning that we had literally hadn’t slept they simply apologised & said they would make a note of it…no offer of compensation was made in any form…we had upgraded to a super deluxe room, hardly the luxurious nights sleep we paid for! ☹️

Lovely, comfortable room which was quiet. Excellent location, very central to everything. Staff friendly, polite and approachable at all times. Would recommend for both leisure and business needs. Both breakfast and evening meals were delicious and plentiful and not rushed.

Do not book this hotel!!
Absolutely terrible. The heating & hot water system for the whole hotel failed and could not be fixed. The reception offered us and refund or if we wanted to continue to stay in this freezing hotel they would provide one small heater, but it would no where near be sufficient for our room (it was -4 degrees outside). The attitude of the staff on reception was 'not our fault', so we were left with trying to book another hotel in the city centre at 5pm on a friday night. They didn't even assist in finding another hotel for us. They just did not care. Very poor and i certainly do not expect this level of service from a supposed '4 star' hotel. i have stayed here every year at this time for many years, but will never stay here again.
