"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

As soon as we arrived Trevor came to the door to welcome up, he was really enthusastic and gave us as much information as he could! They’d had a cancellation so he also upgraded us for free. We stayed in this lovely guest house for two nights as we were attending a family funeral. We arrived at about 3pm on the first day and were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where everything was and showed us to our room. We stayed one night at the Victorian house as we had planned a last minute visit to the lakes due to particularly good weather forecast for this time of year. The staff were very welcoming; the room was as described ‘cosy’ and furnished beautifully. The breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of choice. We would definitely look to stay again, especially as it was such good value for money and right in the centre of the village.
