"We stayed at The Royal Oak this weekend. We loved it from start to finish. Room was lovely. Spacious and comfortable. We did get an upgrade which was a very lovely surprise. Breakfast was 5 star. We had dinner in the hotel one of the nights - again it was amazing. Very busy but that shows how good it is. Overall we loved it and would definitely recommend it to others. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful which really adds to the experience. Our dog even got treated like royalty!...

"A picturesque location, the YHA Keswick is situated near the town centre. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. A large bar serving food and drink, in excess of the self-catering facilities which has everything you need. Showers are modern and clean, and the room was large and comfortable. Breakfast proved value for money. No staff are in the hostel after 10 and I had to call the night manager out to try and identify a noisy neighbour, to no avail. Sits uneasy with me that...
