"Nice hotel but in need of a refurbishment. Carpets worn and walls needing a paint. Room safe was broken, as was towel rail. Main issue was cleanliness around the pool. Dust build up and cobwebs around pool. Litter not cleared, used plasters left under longers. Pool spillovers broken, large hole at one end, and worst was the large clumps of hair all around. I did make comment to the Spa staff who seemed very disinterested. "

"The lady on reception upgraded me to a King room from a Queen. Very friendly, arranged a taxi for me, as due to the local council Uber's don't go from there. Room service was good, food lovely. Breakfast, great selection & the lady & gentleman there today were very welcoming. The gentleman in a very smart suit was old school, I hope he doesn't mind me saying that but he was full of the traditional values of the hotel, he has worked there for 40 years.
