A long weekend with our 10 year old granddaughter, celebrating her 10th birthday. We reserved a small suite and found the accommodations spacious with a lovely sitting area, great views of downtown and most importantly, two bathrooms! The staff, from car valet, check-in reception, bellman and concierge were all very gracious, welcoming and helpful.
The location is central to all of the key areas to visit in downtown--Robson St., Gastown and multiple restaurants.
We will return to this lovely hotel
I was only a guest for overnight in transit on my way home from a cruise, liked The Metropolitan very much. The lobby was clean and uncluttered, but has style. The staff welcoming and friendly. Smiles all around. My room was very comfortable with large bathroom, with tub and separate shower.
We loved the small size and personal feel of this hotel. The staff not only remembered out names but remembered the activities that we had participated in the evening before and gave helpful tips for getting around the city. Thanks to their recommendations, we were able to make the most of our short 2 day visit to Vancouver. The complimentary breakfast would easily have cost $30 per person in a comparable hotel. The room was large and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom with walk in shower.
Fabulous hotel, great location, friendly staff, would stay here again on our next visit. We had a corner suite on one of the higher floors and once inside you didn't hear any noise from other suites or outside. There are plenty of options nearby for breakfast and coffee in addition to a selection of restaurants.
If you flying in to Vancouver its very easy to hop on the sky train at the airport. Get on the Canada Line train to Waterfront Station then change to the expo line and get off at Burrard Station, the hotel is just across the street.
