Street parking, room and beds were clean and comfortable - didn’t eat breakfast but used fridge downstairs to store leftover food. Host was friendly and available for anything we needed. Would stay again. One suggestion: having a full length mirror in room would be nice.

The sunshine house was lovely and made our stay in Vancouver very easy and nice. The owner was very welcoming, and we were able to take buses to downtown & back pretty easily.

A nice little Bed and Breakfast located in a very convent location to Vancouver at a good price. The parking is great as well. The owner is super nice and friendly and asked us multiple times if we needed anything. She tried to make us as comfortable as possible which was very much appreciated. We did stay in the smaller room with three adults and I would recommend the larger room if available but it is manageable. We really enjoyed our stay and again it is super convent to access Vancouver. Vancouver is a beautiful city and this is the perfect place to stay outside the city!

Simple but comfortable and great value. My wife has back trouble with uncomfortable beds, and the King bed in the first floor room met her needs. Host was attentive and provided good service. Charming neighborhood with small market, coffee and bakery about a block's walk away. Easy to park on the street. Easy to drive to UBC and Kitsilano and Point Grey neighborhoods.

Lisa is an excellent host, very sweet and available on a call. I enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, close to bus stop and only one busy away from vancover downtown. The neighborhood of sunshine house is so beautiful and so is the sunshine house.

I really love the older houses. This is in a decent area, close to bus stops and easy for Uber pick up/drop off to main attractions. Lisa was very nice and accommodating. Very busy space with many people coming and going.

Lisa provides a clean, comfy & convenient B&B for a visit to Vancouver. A healthy breakfast as well to set one up for a good day. I appreciated her allowing us to 'park' our luggage ahead of the check-in time, as we weren't driving a vehicle.

Relaxing trip in a beautiful neighborhood

This is a beautiful house in a charming neighborhood. The owner is easy to communicate and welcoming. This place has everything you need ready for your vacation. We stayed in the room with the private bathroom and room itself was pretty spacious. Bathroom is tiny but functional and meets the needs.

Location is convenient enough for local transport into town. Unfortunately I found the room was small to accommodate 3 adults with luggage. One of the beds was broken but alternative arrangement was made for the 2nd night. Service was good, very friendly. Overall, good value for money

Property was in a nice area, but if you have a sensitive sense of smell, the litter box smell is overwhelming (i have a cat at home). Owner of thr house was friendly and accomidating.

This property’s information needs to be updated. The pictures shown of breakfast is incorrect. Breakfast is a self-serve toast and/or cereal unless you ask Lisa for breakfast, then you are given eggs, hash browns and a croissant as a choice. Breakfast is not served 7-10am, but 8-10am. Breakfast is NOT served on Sundays. The picture of the deck should be taken off as that is NOT available space to use. Also, the door to the first floor room needs to be fixed so it will close without having to lock it. The house cat found its way into our room at 2am and jumped on the bed! It was a shock! Our door was unlocked briefly so my friend could go to the w.c. Which is how the cat got in. Positive things - bed was comfortable!

We are so happy that we stayed here. Lisa is a wonderful host, very accommodating, easy to reach out to with questions or to ask for recommendations. For those that want a charming experience where you will meet other travelers during breakfast, and want something that feels homey; this is a great pick for you. We were out and about all day long each of the days we were here, and it felt good knowing we would be able to relax when we got back and feel a break from the hustle of the city. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is one you will want to walk around in. There is also a coffee shop a minute away walking that sells baked goods. It was perfect for us and our 5 year old. The best thing about Sunshine House is the location. A quiet, leafy area with enormous craftsmen houses. A safe area about 10-15 min drive from downtown. About a block away is a cute market and a couple of bakeries/cafes. The included breakfast is basic continental with lots of options -toast, yogurt, cereal, bacon, eggs, muffins, and endless coffee/tea. There’s a small fridge and microwave for guest use. Lisa, the owner, lives there with her family. It feels a little like staying at your friend’s grandma’s house, since my other experiences with B&bs were that they were guest only and catered to romantic weekends. Despite what other reviewers noted, there is no litterbox smell (I have cats). There is a musty/mildewy smell throughout the house (maybe why it smells like grandma’s?) and the linens need to be cleaned better. They smell like they were forgotten in the washing machine for a few days and have a funky smell like gym clothes. I think her cleaner needs to bleach them in hot water. Overall, it was an inexpensive place to rest my head in a quiet location. I am not sure I would stay again unless they can address the smell issue.
