The hallway smelled like pot. The room next to us had a group of young women who were very loud and playing music at a high volume. I called the front desk around 11:45 pm to complain, but I was told that quiet time didn’t start for another 10 minutes. The front desk clerk did go knock on their door after 10 minutes. I think 12 pm is a bit late to ask people to be quiet considering we are paying to go to sleep and are unable to. You offer a lounge and two places to eat so they can go there and be loud.

The sandman downtown Vancouver is a lovely hotel. It was within a good walking distance from Rogers Arena which was one of the selling points for me since I went to Vancouver for the Evanescence concert. The room I stayed in was comfortable and clean. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. They also managed to get me into my room early since I arrived earlier than check in. Another thing I liked a lot was how comfortable the bed was. It was lovely. I would highly recommend them. I will also most likely stay there next time I go to Vancouver.
