"It’s a trap. Nice resort, but some of the staff were very rude. I’d much rather have to pay for my food and drink in exchange for a pleasant server. The steak house was the worst steak I’ve had in Mexico, tasted like soot/gas, couldn’t even eat it. The Grotto is the only place with ok food and great service. Great for people who don’t want a Mexican experience. Zero authenticity. They try to sell you everything under the sun- friends fell for their ‘free breakfast’ at their sister resort- it was a 4 hour nightmare, pushing there Hyatt membership on them? They asked to leave 6 times, after saying no to 6 different sales staff, they begged to go back to the resort amd were finally brought back. "

"We had issues with our first room so we had to change rooms. The issues were our air conditioner would not cool. The safe in our room would not work right We also had a smell in our room that we couldn’t figure out where that was coming from We moved to another room and had the same issue with the AC The staff was great if we couldn’t walk somewhere, we could take a golf cart. They will come pick us up at our room. The food was good The beach was not good. We couldn’t go to the beach because of Sargasm. We didn’t have small children with us "

"Always easy to point out the negatives, but they are limited. Often out of pool towels, the ultra all inclusive has some odd exclusions. Just charge a bit more and include everything. Could use pool or beach attendants to avoid people reserving chairs. Cheapens the experience. Invest in big ice cubes for evening cocktails That said, the staff are great. Resort is beautiful. Great location. Food and drink are great. A mix of fun and high end cocktails. Cater very well to allergies. Peaceful, elegant, clean and quiet. Definitely go to this resort as one of the best (if not the best) in Tulum or Mayan Riviera."

"This was our second d stay. We got married here 2 years ago. We were already staying here in Mexico so decided to celebrate our 2nd anniversary with an overnight stay. The hotel, staff and food were excellent. We enjoyed revisiting the hotel. Hopefully we will celebrate another anniversary here!"
