The location of this property is great. It isn't within the busy part of the city, but it is within walking distance of most things which is very nice. When you first walk into the hotel, it looks very nice. But as soon as you get to your room it is disappointing as the rooms are SO outdated and the beds are so small and not comfortable. These days you need queens or kings in all rooms not double beds for 4 adults. The bathrooms were SO small and you could not even sit down and use the restroom without the door hitting your knees. The blow dryers were in the worse location and you could barely stretch it out to use it in front of the mirror. The paint on the walls were dripping down from the heat in the bathrooms and the carpet and paint on the walls just looks like a poor job of trying to make it look nice. They definitely need to do remodeling in the rooms to make them look historic but nice at the same time. The lobby looks great, but the rooms need updated bad. Then the breakfast buffet is outrageously expensive per person and it is a buffet but they could add more items to the buffet for the price that is for sure. The bacon was great though!

I love this hotel, it’s old school charm and friendly staff make the stay above and beyond. The Roosevelt’s close proximities to many sightseeing opportunities. You are able to walk to many destinations. There is a door to Grand Central Station right across the street. I’ve stayed there many times in the past and look forward to staying there in the future.

Property is decorated beautifully and has old New York glamour charm. Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles and many celebrities still live and work from this hotel . The best breakfast room service I've ever had, better than Ritz Carlton . Staff incredible . Rooftop bar closed for renovations was disappointing but lack of security in elevators is a serious problem that has to be addressed . I will not go in to details but nobody needs to go anywhere alone even in a hotel like this . I will not go back because of the lack of security .

We had quite the experience! Valet was nonexistent it wouldn’t be a big deal, except when you’re a tourist with a car and don’t know where to park And they tell you “go park it yourself manager told me I can’t park it for you!” Umm ok. With no directions where to park it! Then zero hospitality checking in. And when you have the bell boy cart full of your families luggages you’re asked to take it yourself. Umm ok fine. Then you get to your room and find toilet seat is too small for toilet-awkward. Then literally a kissing drawer too. You end up throwing your hands in the air and pray nothing else could go wrong and make the most of your trip!! Hotel is supposedly going for a renovation in 2020. But I’m not sure a renovation will be enough to revamp it. Maybe hospitality and courtesy would help tremendously too!

Very nice. Smaller rooms but to be expected in the city. Central location to shopping and dining.
