The President Hotel is centrally located in London next to Russell Square. It’s within walking distance of the Russell Square Underground station, the British Museum, and St. Pancras-King’s Cross train stations. Staff are friendly and helpful, and rooms are very modern and clean. Highly recommend and would stay there again on my next trip to London.
I found the staff to be incredibly friendly and knowledgeable: 5 stars for sure. The rooms were a bit small and dated but entirely acceptable functionally. The bathtub and water temp/pressure was fantastic
We had a lovely stay at The President. It is in a great location to restaurants, bars, and transportation. The staff was very accommodating and I would highly recommend staying here.
It is an ok hotel - needs double glazing as noisy though - and felt that bit tired.
Good clean room though ; shower needs updating but does work well - just intermittent temperature.
WIFI excellent
Breakfast good but need to be more GF friendly though they try more than most. A GF area - with a toaster ; GF sausages ; when paying £16 for breakfast , it needs to be better. No fruit yogurt or fresh fruit ( their is fruit salad)
All round - given nearly £200/night ; 6 or 7 out of 10
Clean & convenient location. There's nothing tatty about this place. Room was good, bog standard really but spacious for the price & area, many other hotels charge the same for a tatty cell. The downfalls were the noisy air-con vent outside out window, but quietened down by the time we were back in our room at midnight. The bathroom is pretty badly designed & the loo is close to the wall with a looroll holder sticking into my arm so couldn't get comfortable enough to 'toilet' nicely. The breakfast was fairly good. It's completely self-service, get your own tea & coffee, & bizarly ask for a tea spoon if you need one. There was a short wait and once seated had a clean table. It's OK for what you pay but next time we'll probably go over the road for a waiter service breakfast at the greasy spoon.. where we've ate at before & very much enjoyed! We'll still definitely be back here though if we get a room at the same price.
We had a very nice stay. The staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was consistently good each morning.
The food & drinks in the hotel bar was reasonably priced & tasted good.
The location is good. We were very close to the British museum & access to the tube was only about a block away.
The only negative would be that the pillows were hard, which wasn’t good for me (I have neck issues). The only other negative is that the walls are a little thin. We could hear the people in the room next to us.
