Room and bathroom were very small, but everything was clean and looked to be updated recently. Hotel is only accessible with your key card or by being let in by the front desk, so I appreciated this extra safety measure.

Definitely not a 4 star property. No elevator. Walls needed a paint (looked dirty). Staff was very friendly. I would say 3 stars, and will try to avoid it. Next door hotels looked much better.

Room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Staff were really friendly. The only negative was creaking floorboards in this room and the room above. If the noise issue from this could be resolved I would definitely come back and recommend it.

We stayed at the Judd for 2 nights. Pros: Location- short walk to Kings Cross, Euston and Russel Square tube stations -satisfactory breakfast included -the gentleman on evening and weekend duty was very friendly and helpful Cons: -Most reviews describe the rooms as small, but that is an understatement! I have never seen a smaller hotel room. We had single beds and one was tight up against the “closet” and my wife repeatedly hit it during sleep. -Noise! We were in a basement room, underneath the entry hall and reception area. We heard early morning checkouts as the wheels of luggage passed over our beds. Various mechanical noises off and on all night. -we arrived early and left our luggage while we toured. Luggage was kept in unsecured cupboards in reception area. When we returned to retrieve luggage, we simply helped ourselves. No staff questions or assistance. We could have taken anything. -Stairs to basement were narrow and dangerous while trying to manipulate luggage to our tiny room. No assistance was offered. -light above sink in tinier bathroom did not work, making shaving challenging. Reported to reception but nothing changed. -hair dryer did not work -room had a safe, but its placement in the room necessitated reclining on the floor to be able to work the numbers…not great for seniors. -Narrow hallways and staircases made passing with luggage impossible. Prices were reasonable in the London market, but on my next visit, I will opt for more comfort.

Rooms : On arrival, to our surprise, we were assigned a very tiny room in the annex hotel Jenkins where it was not even possible to unpack. Since it was impossible to sustain this for four nights we were fortunately assigned a larger room in the Judd Hotel itself by the friendly reception staff. Breakfast : The first two days we were still offered a hot breakfast with bacon, eggs, tomato and beans. Where we thought we might get an extra at Christmas, the breakfast the last two days of our stay was in comparison much less ! Moreover, the breakfast room appeared to be much too small for the large number of guests and the buffet could not be replenished in time either. We were disappointed in this respect. Housekeeping : Apparently there were no "cups" to be used after brushing your teeth !? We have nothing against toiletries being refilled, but we do expect them to be clean then.
