A hotel with breathtaking views and food.
Staff are fantastic, hospitable and accommodating. We pre-arranged shuttle collection and food requirements in English and everything went seamlessly.
Thank-you Gora Hanaougi

Brilliant place. A bit out of the way and quote an uphill walk but the quiet setting, plenty of space and the traditional dining room within the accomodation was well worth it.

Incredible place with such amazing staff. The room and food were incredible and I would highly recommend this place to anyone, specially the rooms with their own private onsen!

Room was fantastic, the in-room onsen was an amazing bonus. But the view wasn’t really ‘mountain’ - instead it was a giant bush and men doing work. While the hotel is supposed to be in a remote setting, it is a bit inconvenient to get to with a lack of amenities/dining options and no guidance from the hotel. The gym facilities were appalling for a five star hotel.

What can I say?
This hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff are so kind and helpful.
They got a taxi organised for me and my partner at short notice to odawara station on our final day.
The location is amazing and the private bath on the balcony of your room overlooking the hills is just breathtaking. We'll be back next year!

Very spacious rooms, the bunker beds are awesome. My son loved it, the food in the cafe is very nice. The onsen bath was so relaxing. There are free popsicles and soda bottles and colors for kids which is very thoughtful. The bus station is right next to the hotel.

I stayed with my two kids 9 and 13 and they loved it. Amazing place with lovely people that staff it, we enjoyed being able to book the private onsen for half hour on the first night and although we couldn’t book it for the second (no times suitable as we had a early morning check out) we got to try their public onsen which was great too. The food is fabulous if you are up for trying different things but I would say it’s a lot of food so don’t eat too much for lunch! Both my kids have peanut...

Beautifully modern ryokan, with stunning views. Family friendly, with a small play area, toys and games you can take to your room. Staff speak great English and are very helpful.
Great location- 5 min walk to the train station where you can take a gondola up to the cable cars or take the mountain train back down, 10 min (steep) walk to Gora park, 15 min walk to Open Air Museum, and 25 min walk to Yunnesan hot spring water park. There are a smattering of restaurants, a big Lawsons round the...

We had a wonderful stay - the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable, breakfast was amazing and much accommodation was made for my vegan daughter. The private Onsen was perfect - not only well maintained and efficiently run with many toiletries, but also blissfully relaxing. The whole stay was superb and it was a privilege to experience such an amazing Japanese tradition. Thank you

Absolutely beautiful hotel giving a wonderful ryokan experience with hot springs. The natural scenery is beautiful making you forget you are conveniently less than 5 minutes away from the station. The hotel provides a fancy 10-course meal inspired by traditional Japanese cooking and a similar approach for breakfast. We had a room with a private onsen which was lovely and relaxing but also took a moment to enjoy the shared indoor and outdoor onsens, which are fairly small but also beautiful. The...
