"Overall it’s fair to stay there. First of all, it’s our first family trip to DC, and we don’t really know the hotel doesn’t offer on site parking until we got there for check in. So we had the valet parking for the staying days and tipped the driver after checked out. Basically it’s $200 extra. Well, we do understand the hotel locates in the city, so it’s kind of fair. Secondly, the carpets in the room is pretty old and dirty, it has stains that could be seen. So I let my kids have their shoes on most of the time. The room keeper did the great job, at least the towels were clean. If the boss can upgrade the carpets and more, I would like to give another chance to stay here when we visit DC again. Thanks!"

"Fantastic staff, luxurious property, and the best pool and hot tub I’ve used. Kingbird restaurant was excellent as well and the proximity to Foggy Bottom and the National Mall made our visit to DC efficient too. "

"The front desk staff was very helpful during the check in process and changing of rooms. To no fault of theirs, we had to change rooms and I ended up in an hypoallergenic room which was perfect for me. Room was clean and had the most wonderful view. Room service was great."

"Honestly, for the difference in price compared to the Washington Hilton (that was right across the street and where my conference was taking place), I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't pick this place. Only downsides were slow wifi (just barely above 1 Mbps on average!), one of the two elevators out of order during my stay(yet never really waited long to catch it), and the restaurant/bar not functional one night (wife having a baby, I heard....that's more important!), and nasty road construction going on (not the hotel's fault), I really enjoyed my stay. Very quiet and nostalgic, and in a great location. I will be back if ever coming back to the area! Great value. Friendly staff!"
