"Room was clean. Staff was friendly. It was unfortunately unseasonably warm in DC so the room was pretty hot and the hotel could not turn on the ac as it was too early in the year. The staff was really friendly and understanding, told us to open the windows and provided a fan. But there were no outlets near the windows so the fan could blow in cool air, plus one of our windows wouldnt stay open (they only open a tiny bit). A maintenance person eventually came and wedged something under the window to keep it open. Its a nice hotel in a convenient location, but with the lack of hot food, and the issues with the heat I dont think it's worth the price esp if you go around the time the seasons are changing when you may not have heat or air. I do appreciate them giving us a discount for the inconvenience "

"Property and amenities were great as always. My concern was that I left a wedding ring at the property during mt last visit, I called, described it, and was told that it was located in my room. Upon my return this time, I twice asked about the ring. Each time I received a nonchalant reply: 1. You have to check with housekeeping and they leave early and 2. Did you contact us about it? (Affirmative, I was told that it is here?) We don't have it. (No searching - Do you have a lost and found?) We don't have it. No real interest in looking or attempting to assist. "

"The room was smaller than I expected but it was clean and nice and when i needed a microwave they brought one up to the room. We had a king bed city view suite "

"This historic building is delightfully charming offering spacious rooms. The water pressure and temperature in the shower is the best I have enjoyed in an older building. The location is near a multitude of restaurants serving diverse cuisine and within walking distance of many points of interest in DC. Staff are friendly and helpful. I'm booking with them again to see the Washington National Opera which now performs at the Lisner Auditorium."

"We were in D.C. for a long weekend getaway. We arrived at The Hamilton 3 hours before check-in time anticipating to have our luggage put in the luggage hold. We were pleasantly surprised to be told that our room was available. The lobby area was beautiful, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was a reasonable size, and very clean. The hotel is very conveniently located - 1 block away from the closest Metro Station (McPherson Square) and blocks away from many of the areas we were heading."

"Extremely loud neighbors that didn’t allow us to sleep whole night, didn’t get food after ordering after an hour, strangers from outside hotel barging into the pool, etc. such a shame for a good hotel! "
