"We have stayed at the hotel many times over a period of years because the staff are accommodating, the Pembroke restaurant food is healthy and the rooms are always clean. Great location for Metro, and other services."

"I think this is a pretty old building, it has its pros and cons, and if you have allergies, you should be careful...I felt I was suffocating. "

"The hotel was very nice, in a great area, convenient to the metro to easily get around the city. What was very disappointing, however, was the HVAC unit. Our room was miserably hot during our stay. The thermostat in the room has the option to switch between heat or cool, but the cool setting blew even hotter air than the heater. Unfortunately, we left the AC on while we went to a few museums on a mild day in DC and returned to find our room above 80°F. We had to open all of our windows, and leave them open all night to try and cool the room down, but we had no success. This reason alone left a sour taste in my mouth for this hotel because it kept us from sleeping…the whole reason we needed a room in the first place!"
