ideal hotel for flight early morning

Very friendly and approachable personnel. Beautiful looking and clean hotel. Easy to navigate. Great facilities. High quality and great selection of foods and drinks available at breakfast. Lovely, comfy, spacious and well kept rooms. Would definitely use again.

This hotel certainly lived up to the reputation of the Hilton brand. Perfect stay for our early morning flight, and will be choosing to stay again for future early departures / late arrivals.

Our 1 night stay was a very relaxing way to start our long haul holiday fronHeathrow T4. We were very comfortable.

Had a one night stay the hotel was clean and tidy the staff very helpful, had a meal in restaurant which was lovely but I would have liked a couple more options.breakfasts was very good parking although only a couple of minutes walk was easy enough only problem I had it would not recognise my reg no so had to put in manually on leaving

Omg what a lovely place to stay. Clean, well maintained , very comfortable a really home from home. Breakfast was excellent .I would definitely stay again. So friendly nothing was to much trouble. Looking forward to going back when I can . So thank you very much to our hosts . Very impressed. 👍

Quite relaxing environment, hotel reception extremely friendly. Nice classic pub environment. Only down sides I only noticed after we arrived to our room and checked on the booking page photos of all room option are identical, so it was a bit surprising to see our room looked smaller/different on arrival to the option/photo shown on the booking. Then I realised it is kind of a stock photo, Pub menu a little bit overboard. While all food we had was pretty nice I felt it was quite limited...

In a picturesque setting with lovely friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere, food was excellent and prices good for what you get , definitely be visiting again and highly recommend to anyone!

We arrived and we was greeted by lovely lady Debbie, the room, bed & shower all fabulous. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and lovely crest fruit, all you wanted. Having stayed at several places when we visit Southend, now we have found The Hamilton we would stay anywhere else. It's a real gem

Wonderful location on the river and lovely old building. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds comfy with high quality sheets and pillows. I slept so well! The pub serves brilliant bar food and the restaurant is top class. Highlight - amazing breakfast! The eggs benedict was perfect

This hotel is in a great location, near to the tube. We found it to be quiet, even though it is next door to a police station. The room was clean, although a bit dated but the service was excellent. The staff couldn't do enough for you & were very friendly. We even found some locals to be friendly, too.

Fabulous, our room 402 had a huge balcony with views over the estuary and of the pier. Staff were very friendly and attentive, evening meal of sharing steak was cooked exactly as we like it and breakfast was also very nice, highly recommend the full English for the hungry or sausage muffin. The location is also great, up on the cliff away from the noise but only a short walk to the lift and no more than 5 minutes walk to the pier. This was my second visit and the service was even better than last time when it was exemplary. From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough to help us. They even helped me with the bags because my husband is less abled. They were very attentive and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable. We had a brilliant stay at the Hand and Spear. The decor was really quirky but fun and we loved it. Room was well equipped and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and efficient - and the Sunday roast was probably the best I've ever had !!
