"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"We enjoyed the stay and it was very peaceful,my wife made use of the Spa treatment which was good. The room was nice and cleaned to a high standard however I feel it would have benefitted from a fridge/mini bar.Also the TV was old style and maybe more options like a smart TV would be good.Twice we had issues with the card door entry that did not work, however the staff were helpful in giving us replacement cards.
