"I was stucked in the restroom for an hour. I ws banging the door but nobody came for me rescue. I had to figure out how to get myself out. The drawer where the safe is is a major concern. The drawer opened by itself somehow and it blocked the restroom door from opening. There should be an emergency device in the restroom in case somebody couldn't find his/her way out because the door won't open."

"Great location with parking for Beckenham town centre a short walk , hotel is a bit tatty around the edges and could do with a refresh, we had a leak from a room above due to shower tray not draining properly and them leaving the shower door open, staff attending quickly but not much they could do with the drip drip drip."

"I’m afraid I cannot recommend this hotel. The AC not working - the rooms on the top floor very hot and uncomfortable. The lift and internet only work intermittently. Breakfast pretty basic. The hotel has a very interesting aviation history but unfortunately the current state doesn’t do justice to it’s illustrious past."

"I usually commute between Northampton and London for work but there was a strike on so I needed a base to wait it out. Finding it: tricky at first because it's in a building with lots of other businesses and you have to look for the sign. Only a five minute walk from the station. Close to the high street which is well served with shops and places to eat. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a little accident in my room and the member of staff was very caring and offered the first aid kit for a dressing. Room was very clean, bathroom is small but had everything I needed. Kitchen was a bit under equipped, so two bread knives but no smaller knives to cut vegetables. A strainer spoon would have been useful too. It took me a while to realise that there was a combi oven installed. Three regular tea bags provided, I will probably bring my own in future! Will bring my own pillows too. Hotel in general is a bit bashed about, need some polyfilla and paint! Can't comment on the restaurant or bar because I ate in my room. Overall, good! Would probably return!"

Coulsdon Manor Hotel and Golf Club

"Lovely location but definitely in need of some upgrade. I had to change room as the TV was not working. The room they changed me to had a nice outlook over the golf course but once again, plug sockets are sparse and the socket next to the mirror is virtually unusable as it is too low so you cannot plug anything in. The bathroom was OK but the bath/shower had black mould around the sills. I stay here a lot but it is the location and not the hotel that makes me return which is such a shame"

"Communication was good, followed steps to retrieve the key and complete my stay. Spacious room, utensils available and fridge, bed was a good size and parking onsite on first come basis, free parking after 17:00. The downfall was the toilet, after each flush the water in the toilet started to rise, took three attempts to completely flush. Also due to the heat, very hot in the room, no air-con facilities, the windows didn’t open wide enough to let air in, didn’t ask for a fan, so next time we see if this is an option as the heat disturbed my sleep. Other than that, really good place to stay, minimal noise during the night and decent decor. "
